About me

before we get into what i do and how you can work with me, i think a bit of lore will help to create an image of why i do what i do.

throughout school i always engaged in various sports and it was a big part of my life. so moving, training and exploring what i was capable off has been with me for as long as i can remember.

part of that joy and childlike curiosity for movement was robbed from me when i was in my final year of school as i developed a concoction of eating disorders.

movement then became a punishment and something i had to endure in order to become smaller and more palatable by society's patriarchal beauty standards.

it was no longer enjoyable and i started to move out of fear, both within my yoga practice and strength training.

I found climbing somewhere amongst the noise, and it showed me how i could just have fun whilst moving my body.

that started to permeate into my yoga practice and strength training, and i slowly started to shift from a negative mindset back into one led by exploration and joy.

this lead me to eventually do my yoga teacher training and kick start my coaching in 2018. since then i've expanded my portfolio for what i coach which you can see here ->

yoga

LORE:

i started teaching myself yoga in my final year of school and built up a rich asana practice over four years. but i lacked the depth and understanding of yoga in it's entirety.

that was when i decided to do my yoga teacher training and discovered how much i enjoy helping others be led through the practice in their body and mind.

HOW YOU CAN WORK WITH ME:

i have over 150 classes on youtube that you can practice along with me.

i am in the process of creating a digital club for weekly yoga classes, so stay tuned!

strength

LORE:

my strength training begun at a similar time to my yoga practice, where I followed along with H.I.I.T sessions online and later dabbled in body building before taking a hiatus for a few years.

i restarted strength training seriously in 2020 as i luckily had access to a home gym during covid and finished my level 2 and 3 personal training qualification a year later.

HOW YOU CAN WORK WITH ME:

i work with clients online using a platform called everfit, where I write bespoke programs tailored to individual needs and goals. we have weekly check in calls for accountability, to discuss training and for space to navigate the intersections that movement has within life.

i program everything from lifting weights to mobility training, handstands to calisthenics (check the skills section for more information on this) and more.

LORE:

i've always loved be upside down and vividly remember lying on the sofa in an inverted position as a kid imagining what the world would be like if it was flipped around.

any inversion - handstands, forearm stands, headstands - therefore bring me a lot of childlike joy and wonder.

i've found a similar process with calisthenics - exploring ring flows and other hand balances on different apparatus.

HOW TO WORK WITH ME:

i am in the process of creating a handstands foundations and strength training course, which will be available online!

i often host a handstand foundations workshop, so keep an eye out for them on my events page.

movement

LORE:

as my coaching grew, so did my interest in other movement disciplines and i found myself particularly drawn towards what i would describe as 'rolling around'.

after i did my animal flow training, i found the doors open to other floor based movement practices.

i began experimenting with combining yoga asana, animal flow and other sources of floor work inspiration i found online and through pole.

this part of my coaching is heavily directed through my own research and engagement over the years.
